TRAIL

TRAIL Program: Teaching Resilience, Adventure, Independence, & Leadership

We are excited to offer the TRAIL Program (Teaching Resilience, Adventure, Independence, and Leadership) at Legal Public School. This innovative program provides students with opportunities to develop resilience, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills through structured outdoor activities in natural environments.

About the TRAIL Program

TRAIL encourages students to embrace challenges responsibly and independently. Through supervised exploration in the schoolyard and designated forest areas, students engage in age-appropriate play activities, including jumping, climbing, and other forms of structured, risky play.

While safety is a top priority, it’s important to note that minor injuries (such as scrapes or bruises) may occur as a natural part of outdoor play. The program ensures safety through structured activities, proper supervision, and adherence to established guidelines.

Programming Scope

The TRAIL program includes structured outdoor activities conducted within the school’s planned programming. It does not extend to unstructured times, such as Physical Education (PE) classes or outdoor recess.
